Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, Mayor Beckman called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Council reviewed the submitted police report for June.

Lienau made a motion approving the following consent items: June 3, 2024 council minutes, clerk’s reports, and the monthly bills; second by Langreck, carried.

Langreck made a motion approving the second reading of Ordinance 99, an ordinance amending the water rates; seconded by Bohr.
Whereupon the Mayor put the question on the motion and the following named Council Members voted:
Ayes: Langreck, Bohr, Knutson, Lienau. Nays: None. Absent: Holthaus.

Langreck made a motion approving the first reading of Ordinance 100, an ordinance amending provisions pertaining to trees; seconded by Bohr.
Whereupon the Mayor put the question on the motion and the following named Council Members voted:
Ayes: Knutson, Bohr, Langreck, Lienau. Nays: None. Absent: Holthaus.

Lienau made a motion to waive the 2nd and 3rd readings of Ordinance 100, an ordinance amending provisions pertaining to trees; seconded by Langreck.
Whereupon the Mayor put the question on the motion and the following named Council Members voted:
Ayes: Lienau, Bohr, Langreck, Knutson. Nays: None. Absent: Holthaus.
Whereupon the Mayor declared said motion carried with Ordinance 100 becoming effective upon publication.

Knutson made a motion approving an alcohol beverage permit for Ossian Crown Club pending dram shop; second by Lienau, carried.

Nuisance properties were discussed. There were no building permits submitted.

The council had general discussion regarding the storm damage and trees at both parks, emergency preparedness, Ossian Ambulance, storm intakes, and railroad crossings.

Lienau made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Langreck; carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m.
