Bear Creek Cabins was established in 2003 and is a family owned business that offers 9 cabins for rent. Renters can enjoy the comforts of the cabins and still enjoy the ruggedness of the outdoors, with the woods right out your back door and a trout stream only a walk away! The trout streams do not freeze over in the winter months, and are stocked weekly April through October. North and South Bear streams have been ranked the #1 and #2 streams in the state and provide some of the best trout fishing in Iowa.

The Highlandville area has over 1,000 acres of state owned public hunting land. North Bear and South Bear public land offer some of the best whitetail and turkey hunting Iowa has to offer. If bass, walleye, and northern are more your style, the Upper Iowa is only a few miles away. Try floating in one of our fishing boats or canoes and check out the beautiful scenery this area has to offer! This area is a fishing and hunting adventure waiting to happen, and is suitable for the entire family.
