Also present: Clark Goltz, Tracy Barth and family

Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, Mayor Beckman called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

Clark Goltz provided an update on the 175th Celebration plans.

Tracy Barth and family discussed 109 Old Sewer Road. An agreement was made that it would be cleaned up by August 1, 2025.

Lienau made a motion approving the following consent items: December 2, 2024 council minutes, meeting, clerk’s reports, monthly bills, second by Holthaus carried.

Lienau made a motion approving Resolution 708, a resolution appointing The Calmar Courier as the designated newspaper for the City of Ossian; seconded by Knutson.
Whereupon the Mayor put the question on the motion and the following named Council Members voted:
Ayes: Knutson, Langreck, Bohr, Holthaus, Lienau. Nays: None.
Whereupon the Mayor declared said motion carried and the resolution adopted.

Lienau made a motion approving Resolution 709, a resolution appointing check signer and lock box designees; seconded by Bohr.
Whereupon the Mayor put the question on the motion and the following named Council Members voted:
Ayes: Knutson, Langreck, Bohr, Holthaus, Lienau. Nays: None.
Whereupon the Mayor declared said motion carried and the resolution adopted.

Council took no action on recycling containers.

Langreck made a motion to approve an agreement for services with Gundersen Health Systems; second by Holthaus, carried.

FY26 budget was discussed. Lienau made a motion to approve FY26 budget funding requests for SW Rec, NEICAC, NEIHTF, Helping Services and WCD&T; second by Holthaus, carried.

Nuisance properties were discussed.

The council had a general discussion regarding cameras at the community center, Ossian Ambulance update, snow piles, railroad crossings, and city clerk position.

Knutson made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Langreck; carried. Meeting adjourned at 6:27 p.m.
