Resolution #627
A Resolution concerning a maximum proposed property tax levy for the Fiscal 20/21 Budget.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ossian, lowa have considered the proposed FY20/21 city maximum property tax dollars for the affected levy total, and
WHEREAS, a notice concerning the proposed city maximum property tax dollars was published as required and posted on city web site and/or social media accounts if applicable,
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning the proposed city maximum property tax dollars was held on February 3, 2020,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Ossian, lowa that the maximum property tax dollars for the affected tax levies for FY20/21 shall not exceed the following total:
Total maximum tax levy rate for the affected property tax levies is $11.17097, which equals $301,265 dollars.
The Maximum Property Tax dollars requested in the total maximum levy for affected property tax levies for FY20/21 does not represent an increase of greater than 102% from the Maximum Property Tax dollars requested for FY 2020.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of February 2020.
